Problems Logging In from Magic Link

We've changed the way that our login system works. Now when you register or login to SMASH, a six-digit code will be sent to your email address. Simply copy and paste this code into the login screen to get in. This should remove any login issues, but if you still face problems, do contact us through the chat box below.

Some users have reported problems logging in to SMASH from the ‘Magic Link’ email; the login page is blank or displays a ‘404 Page Not Found’ error. This could occur when you first sign-up or when logging in again. If you experience this problem, here are a few things to try:

If you are using your company/corporate email or laptop, you could try signing up again with your personal email and/or on your personal laptop. We’ve had a few cases where the security settings on corporate email services or devices prevent the magic sign-up links from working.

The magic links are single-use only, so possibly the first time you clicked on it, the page might not have launched or loaded correctly, and when you clicked it again, it displayed the error page. If so, try logging in again to receive a fresh magic link email.

The magic links also expire after 30 minutes. If so, try logging in again to receive a fresh magic link email.

Try logging in or signing-up again in your browser’s ‘incognito’ mode:
- Open up an 'incognito' tab on your browser, and go to https://app.mysmash.media and sign-up or login again.
- When you receive the email with the link, right-click and copy the link (don't click the 'sign in to smash' button)
- Return to your incognito browser window, and paste in the link. It should now load up the profile creation or project screen.
